Between March 24–28, 2025, Austrian police carried out a big operation in Klagenfurt and Villach to fight illegal prostitution and human trafficking. They found twelve women, mostly from Hungary and Romania, working without proper permits. Ten of them were deported.
Some of the women might’ve been victims of the Loverboy method, where men fake romantic interest to lure women into sex work. A lot of them said they turned to prostitution because of money problems.
Cops also think pimps were nearby while the women worked, and they’re now looking into those suspects. The investigation is still ongoing. Read the article here: https://sexclubwien.com/sex-clubs-in-vie...d-villach/
What do you think – will the constant threats of tariffs make the economic situation even worse? These days, you can almost find illegal Hungarian and Romanian prostitutes under every bush.
