I think when people, especially women face so much violence, it is much harder for them to ask for help. Especially if their family is threatened too. These abusers want to make sure that no one talks and everything happens behind close doors. And yes, the police being afraid of the media stigmatizing them as racist is just an excuse. It's a common problem with asians and other migrants that the police would rather do nothing because of the racism issue. They simply don't want to deal with the criminals and the media at the same time like real men would do

Wonderful initiative to draw the attention from a seemingly harmless site about brothels! I'm thankful for sharing such a tragic story and opening the eyes of people who are looking away from these real causes!
