I just heard that Iran and Saudi Arabia might have their own war very soon, which would explode the oil prices immediately.
So, it is possible, that the economy will be much more important for the government than the lockdown. With covid, a few ten thousand people can be seriously sick, but if the economy stops, then the whole country will have serious issues. That is why I also think that there will not be any lockdowns this year.
Obviously what you say is possible. My personal observation, as limited as it probably is in volume overall, gives me hope that we are on the way up and have reasons to be optimistic.
Today China gave a clear signal for de-escalation rather than having the war continue. This is huge, I think and should calm those people who were afraid China would take Russia's side. I think it was always a question of: "what will China do" - If Russia sees that China's support is probably not there, they have only one real solution and that is peace-Talks
