Police in Mallorca have dismantled a suspected prostitution network operating out of luxury villas near Playa de Palma. Investigators found that women were recruited from other countries and forced to work as sex workers under financial pressure, paying high rents to stay in the villas while also needing to sell drinks to clients to cover their expenses. A Spanish man and a South American woman have been arrested in connection with the operation, which reportedly affected at least 20 women.
