I'm definitely on the same page as Ragnaros. I don't think there's anything wrong with prostitution, as in girls willingly selling sexual services. The problem is when we start talking about forced prostitution, and the Pope might have meant this. Sexual slavery is a very real problem, especially in poorer countries where the girls don't have anyone to help them or to turn to. Also, there they do anything for money to help their families and the pimps usually exploit this.
If the Pope meant that any form of prostitution should be banned, then he is very mistaken. Girls that work in reputable places where prostitution is legal make great money and their clientele is also more sophisticated and not dirty and smelly old guys paying the minimum amount for a quick fuck. And I feel like they are actually having a good time while making a nice amount of money. As Ragnaros said, this is one of the oldest professions and I don't think even the Pope could make a stop to it.
