Maxim opens at 9pm. I think that between 9pm and 10pm is the best time to go as all ladies should be present who will work that day and you are almost definitely the first guy for her that day. At Maxim, at any point at night, you could be seemingly the only guy but usually there is something going on behind the scenes in the rooms or girls are on escort dates. There is really no rule as to when Maxim is crowded and when it is almost empty. I prefer to be there at a time when I can pick who I want and not who is left over.
There was the whale comment not too long ago and it is pretty likely that guys like that are generous in every way and of course tip the girls. But not all clients at Maxim are like that at all so they know from who tips can be expected and from who it is more unlikely to be tipped. So, in my opinion, a tip won't hurt but it is not a must.
Smoking was always possible at Maxim but considering the fact and the scare of the NEW SMOKING LAW that got into effect TODAY, November 1st 2019, I cannot imagine that smoking is still allowed at Maxim. I don't believe they are risking it.
There usually is a doorman who will just wave you through if you are of legal age and not too drunk or aggressive or whatever, on most days down the stairs there is a receptionist and he or she will get your jacket or coat and in you go.
I don't think there is anything left to know about Maxim that hasn't alreacy been discussed at length here or in the Nightclub Maxim review 2019.
Most hotels allow escort dates because they know it actually can't be avoided and in a country in which brothels, escort and prostitution in general are allowed and regulated, it makes no sense at all to disallow it. Of course, some hotels frown upon it but that is rare. Maxim has a list of recommended hotels on their site but the list is obviously incomplete.

I didn't know about this new smoking law, but I think it's better this way. Even though I'm a smoker, I feel it's not fair towards those who don't smoke to allow smoking inside. Do you know, those clients who smoke now have to go outside and smoke the cig in front of the club? And how is this going to work in FKKs where you can't just leave and go back inside whenever you want to? It's going to be inconvenient for a while, but in the long run I think it's better this way, they just need to figure out a way for the smoking folk.

I remember when the smoking law was introduced in Hungary few years ago, many of my friends had problem with it. And it turned out that also heavy smokers can go out for a cigarette and clubs and pubs still have guests.

Thank you for the fast response and the link. I will keep following the thread until my visit and try to narrow it down to a few women. Other than the smoking ban, everything seems perfect so far, but I can handle it without a cigarette for a few hours. Thanks again for the answers.

If you are not a chainsmoker, you should be good without a cig for an hour or two. Besides, the girls in Maxim will probably make you forget the craving for a cig, trust me.
