It is quite interesting, at least the topic. First of all, the sex work scene was hit hardly in corona virus pandemic. Secondly, I also don't know that banning the sex work in Austria is a good idea. Even the idea is nonsense on a sex forum, but there are several reasons why I think this.
Austria has a very strictly regulated and checked sex scene, especially in Vienna. But there are a lot big brothels in other cities and near the Italian border as well. By having strict official control, we can have safe sex in clean and good brothels. The girls must have health check, and if we don't count the worst studios, the brothels are usually clean enough. We don't have to fear of pimps and other criminals but you all know these things as well.
At the moment I don't know any reason why to bann prostitution in Austria. Do you know any?

I agree that banning prostitution would overall have a very bad impact. Women would still offer services but they would have to do it illegally, hiding from the authorities and not being able to ask for help if needed. This would also make things easier for human traffickers. By having the women have to hide in order not to get into trouble, there would definitely be more forced into prostitution without their consent. In a place like Austria or Germany where it has become the norm to have regulated and legal sex trade it would definitely make a lot of peoples' lives a lot harder if it were banned altogether.
I can't think of any reason why it should be banned, but I'm sure there are some good counter-arguments. Interested to see if anyone else has a different opinion, but I guess most of us here wouldn't want a prostitution ban for obvious reasons.

I feel like it would be very weird for me to go to one of these apartments. I heard theres a whole procedure to get the address and do the visit. I dont like sketchy places either, so this might be the reason. For me doing it legally, going to a club or a LH or even escort is much better. I dont have to stress about it being illegal and I feel more relaxed, able to focus on whats important.
