Between March 24–28, 2025, Austrian police carried out a big operation in Klagenfurt and Villach to fight illegal prostitution and human trafficking. They found twelve women, mostly from Hungary and Romania, working without proper permits. Ten of them were deported.
Some of the women might’ve been victims of the Loverboy method, where men fake romantic interest to lure women into sex work. A lot of them said they turned to prostitution because of money problems.

What do you think – will the constant threats of tariffs make the economic situation even worse? These days, you can almost find illegal Hungarian and Romanian prostitutes under every bush.

And here comes immediately another case. A Thai woman is currently on trial in Darmstadt, Germany, accused of running an illegal brothel where women and trans people were forced to work without getting paid. Victims say they were brought from Thailand under the promise of earning money, only to be told they owed €18,000 and had to work around the clock to pay it off.
One woman said she had to serve up to 10 clients a day, wasn't allowed to leave the house alone, and was pressured to have sex without condoms. The brothel owner allegedly kept all the money, claiming it went toward debt and living costs.

I've just commented in another thread about loverboys. To answer your question, there is an economic crisis in Europe, mostly because of the Ukranian war. This makes the life more expensive, and many poor families struggling. A lot of them send their girls to work as prostitute. This is the same in the whole Easter-Europe. If Trump plays too hard with the tariffs, it will make the crisis deeper, and cause even worse powerty in these regions. I expect that more and more girls will be available in the market and they try to offer their services for less money. This will be bad for the legal brothels where the management should pay a lot of bills and follow the governmental rules, while these girls work in shady illegal brothels or apartements. It will also worse to us, because there will be more danger, because the girls will be 100% sure supervised by aggressive pimps.

This is becoming a big problem. I had experienced a few times that there was something shady going on with the girls I visited in their apartments and one time I even saw the pimp. To be honest I don't feel safe and cannot relax when I know the suspicious looking pimp is waiting downstairs.

Lol. I am not brave enough to visit such apartments and fight with the gorilla pimps. I am totally fine with the best clubs where you can always get the same standards and treatment.
Anyways, Loverboys always were part of the paid sex scene and we can't do anything against this fact. Until there are enough naive your girls in the world, they will be caught by these pimps and forced to provide sexual services. Dot.

I visited Eastern-Hungary and Romania a few times, there are many very poor cities and villages. There will be always enough poor girls to believe in loverboy's words.
