Okaybar closed in 2016 or 2017. Then the former manager of Peepshow Burggasse took it over and wanted to open a chain business with the Royal brandname. He wanted 1 bar and 1 peepshow to fight Burggasse.
He never had success with Royal Bar and the place was closed again almost always until now. And then the new concept was born and Calitto Lounge was opened.
Good story btw
And what happened with the former maganer? Do you have info where he landed after fail of Royal?
So if you guys are really that interested in the whole story and what exactly happened I could tell you about that I guess
The carisma group took over the PS Burggasse at around 2011. Before that Mr Rolex who is the generally known former manager owned it for several years with a partner of his. Both of them were never that successful with the peepshow or the other establishments they had.
Some time around 2011 the owner of the carisma group met Mr Rolex and the decision to cooperate was born. So the carisma group started to send their girls because it was decided the main problem was that they don't have access to good new girls, only the scamming peepshow girls of the old generation(which at the end pretty much killed every peepshow).
After that didn't help it and the old owners didn't did their part of the deal(like fixing a toilet hanging off the wall, they thought it would be ok to send customers to the restaurant on the other side of the street) the decision was to completely take over and make the 2 former owners managers. One of them couldn't handle the thought of having a boss and instantly left. The other one was Mr Rolex, the only usable skill of his was marketing. So posting daily on facebook with no effect at all. After some years the PS looked healthy again because of renovation and pushing girls there all the time. ATV contacted us because they wanted to do an documentation again(like they already did with carisma years ago) so it was like the fucking dream of Mr Rolex. Thats pretty much when he got well known as the "peepshow king" which is a funny title for somebody who owned nothing. But hey there is also a "Laufhaus King" who doesnt own one, just fitting in Vienna where everybody seems to be the king of nothing.
Well in 2017 a review of finances has shown that there was quite a big problem so we seperated from him. After that it seemed like the constant fame from being on TV had a even bigger effect on him so he thought he could build up a peepshow alone and actually kill us(his words). Just to make it clear starting a peepshow is like the worst idea in the sex industry. There is nobody who can sell you the technical stuff for it because we are the only one producing it today with our in house IT department. If that wouldn't be bad enough the usual problems when starting a unknown new club like no girls and no customers are also there. It was pretty much clear from the start that he would fail his mission so we were not that worried about it.
He found a construction guy which believed that he build PS Burggasse alone, so they went into a really good spot(ML Revue) had construction work done there for 2 years(who knows why) and wanted to open. While they had the construction going on it seems like Mr Rolex was kicked out there too so they opened with another strange dude who promised he could bring in the girls needed for it. When opening there had to be some kind of problem which I guess was no police approval because you had to ring a bell to get in. Which limited the customer base pretty hard. Oh also while they did their 2 years of construction they simultaneously reopened the Okay Bar which under the managment of Rolex was doomed. They had no girls until VideoRudi decided to help him out. But because of some disagreement which (you can already guess) was caused by the greed of Rolex, this wasn't for long.
After all of that he seems to want to end his red light career and now tries his luck as instagram fitness influencer which I have to say seems like a good fit. So guys, here you have a story of a usual red light "mega boss" and their usual end in the scene. Everybody who is well known in the public for owning anything in that business is actually not a owner. They don't want to be in the spotlight and thats for several reasons.
Hope that was a little bit of story for you
Edit:
Just to make it clear: Yes there are quite some stupid people in the scene who are able to survive years. But it is not that easy to survive it even if you are a sane human being. You need to do marketing for the customers and girls. Provide both of them with a nice enviroment and also fight with the goverment all the time. If you are not a big established company there is NO way you can start that kind of business anymore. Just a disclaimer for anybody who thinks about that right now.
