Importance of online presence and advertising

It is the year 2020. and it truly baffles me that so many establishments in Austria have almost no online presence. A new laufhaus was recently opened in Vienna by people who already operate laufhauses in other area and they invested heavily in the new place but if someone did not post it on this forum i would have no idea it opened. Naturally the new place is a monumental failure, i wrote about my experience there and it seems to be even worse now. Why do so many businesses in Vienna, even the successful ones such as Goldentime or Babylon, have horribly dated useless websites? The only business in Vienna that tries to work on their image seems to be Maxim, and even they are not doing it as well as they could.

I would like the contrast all this with an Austrian club that does it right - Wellcum. They have a modern often updated website in multiple languages. They almost always have special promotions, parties, shows, guest pornstars, events etc. They have a second good quality clean website just for the girls' profiles that contains high quality pictures(unlike Maxim) but they do not go overboard with photoshop(unlike Zollgasse chain) so you can actually tell what the girls look like. There you can also see exactly on which dates each girl is present.
But it doesn't stop there. Wellcum is very active on social media, they update their Instagram and Twitter daily with pics of girls, promotions, announcing when a new girl joins their line up etc. They also have a Telegram group where they post exclusive clips of their girls and other info. They also put in effort to advertise to girls as well and attract new talent and help them get started. Their approach leads to a successful business, they advertise to men ad when they come, the girls make money and thus other girls hear about it they want to come work there. When a lot of girls are present and are announced on the site and promoted heavily on social media by Wellcum naturally even more guys come, and this creates a positive cycle which caused Wellcome to become by far the best club in Austria, and quite possibly in Europe despite their remote location(although they do take advantage of the Italian clientele). If Wellum was located in Vienna they would no doubt be the number one club in Europe by a large margin.

Now compare Goldentime's site and online presence to Wellcum's it is just sad.

The lakc of online presence of the top Vienna places is also my biggest pain. If you want to know who is new in GT, you should ask other guys in forums or visit them. But this is mostly because they always have new girls and you will never disappointed. At least, in theory. And someone wrote on this forum that GT is big enough to not advertise itself. I think this will slowly change and soon the management should take steps to present the girls online too.

Maxim is very active but I don't understand what is the problem with their pictures. The biggest advantage of Maxim is that they never use Photoshop. I saw there not supermodel girls few times, but at least I knew what I get. No suprises, no scams. I think reliability is very important in this industry.

Wellcum. It is also true that they do very good online marketing, and their primary market is Italy. I believe they did not start the business in Vienna by reason, it is very hard to fight against GT (and maybe FP) too. Or who knows, maybe there is something in the background and all FKKs have their own market and won't attack the others'.

I agree on all points raised. Wellcum is by far the best and most professional club and whatever they do, they do it right. The only thing that I don't entirely agree with is the fact that they didn't open a club in Vienna yet because they fear the competition of GT and FP. They definitely don't mind a little healthy competition and when push comes to shove, they are better but.... why the hassle?!

They entered a market in Kärnten that was DOMINATED by the Andiamo club which was the best club in Austria before Wellcum existed and Wellcum CRUSHED them. Crushed them with their own weapons and they would cursh GT and FP as well. I never thought it possible but indeed that is what happened. They could surely also be super strong in Vienna but seems that Vienna is not attractive enough for that kind of model.

Back to the online marketing aspect: we have tested most clubs and places in Vienna including Escort agencies and the result is that with all their shortcomings Maxim is by far the most responsive place when it comes to customer service online (e-mail, chat) or on the phone. GT used to be second best but not anymore. Feels like ancient times when they were still trying.

I personally asked the Maxim Junior Owner a while ago why Social Media is not a stronger component in their strategy and why they don't provide higher quality pictures. All things considered they seem to be more than happy with their stats and growth and will continue with "what works" and try to add new things and improve what needs to be worked on. There is definitely still a lot of room for improvement. Not everything that Wellcum is doing can be replicated, though.

As far as Babylon is concerned, they have done something amazing in the last 3 decades and still feed off that accomplishment. They have an inner circle of clients that is so powerful and a reputation that is just as remarkable as it is (almost) flawless. Feels to me like opening themselves up to the "public" would be a step back as they want to be an elite provider. Makes sense to me in a way and those who can't afford 550 EURO for an hour may please stay the hell away from them is what it feels like.

There is more to it in case of Maxim and Babylon and both hint on cannibalization effect being a factor in their overall strategies.

To sum it all up. YES, all clubs could do much better and should clean up their act somehow. Some have a long way to go and some are already on the right track but nobody comes close to Wellcum as the Alpha in all regards. But Wellcum is almost 400km away from Vienna and therefore not direct competition.

There is no doubt in my mind that if Wellcum opened a club in Vienna they would quickly crush the competition. Fortunately for the lazy clubs operating in Vienna Wellcum seems pretty happy where they are and apparently have no interest in spreading to other areas.

I have some doubt because they will not easily enter a level playing field. Wellcum would have to find land as central as possible that fits the criteria. They would have to dedicate resources that they currently use in Kärnten to the Vienna market. They would have to bri... (persuade) whoever is there to be brib... (persuaded) in order to be allowed to work and build smoothly and in a timely manner. Their model and its success is strongly tied to the hotel and all of that is not easy to pull off. It would be much more sensible to do another Wellcum branch in Tirol or Salzburg where less competition needs to be crushed imho.

But yes, if there is a war of the FKKs coming, they would be the favorite but Vienna is simply not attractive for an FKK model. Vienna is attractive for clubs that cater to whales and not FKK lovers.

You are no doubt right about that, i can not even imagine the time, money, connections and paperwork required to construct a new FKK in the heart of Vienna. This would be a massive investment and probably does not make sense for them since they are already very successful where they are. I was merely pointing out a hypothetical scenario to illustrate just how much better Wellcum is at promoting their business than Goldentime for example.

Using social media for such purposes is quite tricky, I saw many Facebook and Youtube accounts deleted earlier. As I see most of big clubs already knows how to show girls without real nudity, but in some cases social media moderators delete the accounts just because of the topic (sexual services).

My online marketing friend told me that the most important is having a newsletter database. Your Facebook or other accounts can be deleted anywhen, but if you have a database, you can send out commercial mails whenever you want.

What Wellcum does on social media is not a big stuff, but it is still better than most of other places do. They post the newest girls plus some filler content every day, and make event for every Naked nights. It seems they have comitted fans, at least the Facebook page has only 1500 fans but every posts get 100 reactions at least. This is a very good ratio.

Of course they matter. I don't know the real reason but I think GT stopped the calendar and other reputation-maintenance things because they were already succesful. I almost wrote "succesful enough" but what is considered enough? A business should continously improve its services, or there will be a younger, better or agressive competitor on the market who does it better.

I read an article on Sex Vienna blog last year, with title Is FKK Club Funpalast responsible for the decline in quality of Austrian Saunaclubs? The writer mentioned the situation when GT realised the pressure of FP's lowered prices as well as the facts, that Wellcum became a magnet for girls. I was wondering why GT did not reacted with mass social media and other campaigns/presence? By now GT would have well working social media channels.
