Gelsenkirchen authorities have carried out a control operation targeting sex workers to ensure compliance with the Prostitution Protection Act. The operation inspected a sauna club and four apartments, checked 21 sex workers and two others, and found that five sex workers did not have the required residence permit. The operation was part of the city’s efforts to improve safety, order, and compliance with the law regarding prostitution.
